We are in search of a talented Cloud Solutions Architect to become a vital part of our team at IPS. In this position, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing our cloud architecture to ensure secure and reliable access to educational resources. Your proficiency in cloud technologies and analytical skills will be essential in supporting our mission to provide high-quality education.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize our cloud architecture in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Monitor and improve cloud services for scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with various teams to address their cloud infrastructure needs and offer expert guidance.
  • Enforce stringent cloud security protocols to protect access, data, and privacy.
  • Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure challenges in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Develop backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and continuity.
  • Stay informed about cloud technologies and propose enhancements to our infrastructure.
  • Assist in selecting cloud service providers and tools.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide user training on cloud solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Previous experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect, preferably in the education or public sector
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Chef
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Understanding of networking principles and security best practices
  • Knowledge of identity and access management concepts
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like GDPR and FERPA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
