Job Overview

As a Telecommunications Surveyor with M3 Placement and Partnership, you will play a crucial role in supporting the deployment of our client's fiber-based network in Central New York. This position requires a strong understanding of outside plant practices and procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain network mapping and data to ensure effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and design fiber-optic routes for residential and business customers, utilizing eLations software for estimating project costs.
  • Manage permitting processes with municipalities and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop standards and specifications for OSP resources, and perform quality assurance checks on construction work.
  • Assist with data gathering for network planning and market analysis, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during project implementation.
Requirements
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and ability to read telecom records and understand infrastructure plans.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations, with experience with GIS or CAD software preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
