We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Professional Staff Nurse to join our 5B Renal/Pulmonary Unit in our Weekend Program at UPMC St. Margaret. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions, including CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, Sepsis, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that promote patient safety, quality, and a caring and compassionate patient-focused experience.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication.
- Participate in unit-based shared governance and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that improve patient care and the practice environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and research to improve clinical care and patient outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Minimum of 6 months RN experience.
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role preferred.
