Culinary Expertise Sought

UHS is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and guests. Your expertise in quantity cooking and knowledge of modified diets will be essential in providing high-quality food services.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff, and guests
  • Ensure the kitchen remains clean and sanitized at all times
  • Consult with the dietitian on special diets and menu planning
  • Assist in the delivery of patient unit supplies as needed
  • Operate the dish machine as required

Requirements:
  • Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety
  • Utilize portion control guidelines when preparing and serving food
  • Record dish machine temperatures as required
  • Follow cleaning assignments of the dining room and kitchen area daily
  • Interact well with patients in the serving line, providing good customer service and offering assistance when needed
