Job Summary

The Hospitality Merchandiser is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support in the tap room sales area. This role requires a strong knowledge of our products and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a first point of contact for guests visiting the tap room and guide them through the Funky Buddha experience
  • Set a warm and welcoming tone as you greet and guide customers
  • Inform guests of any sales, specials, or new merchandise offered and assist them with their selections
  • Conduct beer samplings on a regular frequency
  • Act as a source of brewery knowledge for our customers
  • Positively represent Funky Buddha Brewery and its values
  • Maintain the front entrance and cleanliness
  • Provide professional and accurate information to guests and coworkers
  • Provide excellent customer service to both walk-in and telephone guests
  • Possess the ability to work with several guests at one time, while maintaining individual customer satisfaction
  • Keep the merchandise area and drink cooler displays clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing
  • Use POS to accept cash and credit card payments and keep the cash register totals accurate
  • Execute inventory process as scheduled
  • Reduce loss by maintaining a watchful eye on the merchandise and process accurate transactions
  • Facilitate and help organize brewery tours, as well as set-up and staging of special events
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
  • Maintain responsible service of alcohol standards
  • Support FOH side work when needed
Requirements
  • One to two years of experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a host position
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in a high-stress environment
  • Commitment to deliver an outstanding customer experience
