Claims Processing Associate/Data Entry
Schedule: Monday-Friday, first shift
Position Summary:
- Responsible for digitizing all claim documents;
- Reviewing and rectifying any discrepancies or inquiries present on claim submissions;
- Utilizing scanning software to amend information where feasible, facilitating the progression of claims;
- Ensuring that batches are consistently prepared and submitted in a timely manner;
- Notifying Claims management of any irregularities in volume or quality.
- Handling all returned mail, organizing it for dispatch, and executing the mailing process within set timeframes.
- Assisting in the reception and categorization of incoming mail for processing;
- Documenting all batches processed throughout the day.
- Identifying corrected claims and ensuring notes are updated in Plexis for the Claims Analysts.
- Counting batches the following morning to provide totals and latest processing dates.
- Clearing all verified claims once all submissions have been received from Multiplan.
- Carrying out various job-related tasks as needed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Preferred experience in the healthcare sector
- Proficient data entry and computer skills are essential
