Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Provide nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, including progress notes and medication records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting health and wellness.
  • Perform and document rounds of patients receiving medical or psychiatric care, as assigned.
  • Report changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse, ensuring timely interventions and care.
  • Assist with specimen collection for diagnostic testing, as required.
  • Support other non-custody staff in providing patient care, as needed.
  • Prepare documentation for patient transfers to other institutions or facilities, as assigned.
Requirements
  • CNA Certificate or CNA State License is required.
  • BLS certification is also required.
