Job Title: Certified Medication Aide

We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Birchwoods At Canco Assisted Living. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Certified Medication Aide will be responsible for assisting residents with medication administration, maintaining accurate medication records, and providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with medication administration, including pouring, preparing, and documenting medication
  • Maintain accurate medication records, including medication counts and storage
  • Provide exceptional care and support to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization
  • Respond to resident needs and requests for care promptly and provide assistance as necessary
  • Uphold residents' rights and support the company's care philosophy
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition and report promptly to a licensed nurse
  • Complete documentation, including medication administration records and incident reports
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a residential or long-term care setting
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must complete Medication Aide training and certification (where required)
