The ideal candidate will have experience in a dealership environment, be adept at handling a high-volume workload (over 100 invoices daily), possess strong multi-tasking abilities, and maintain a positive demeanor.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Coordinator:
- Verify all vouchers and secure necessary payment approvals.
- Prepare weekly accounts payable checks.
- Post weekly and monthly bills for check processing.
- Manage daily postings of open items in accounts payable across multiple entities, handling hundreds of invoices weekly.
- Generate accounts payable reports and organize all related files.
- Reconcile cash schedules.
- Establish month-end accruals.
- Communicate cash requirements for payment dates to management.
- Audit freight bills against inquiries.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assist with monthly closing processes.
- Conduct account analyses as needed.
- Support accounts receivable and special projects as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a tidy workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Coordinator:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Capability to anticipate work needs and engage professionally with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- 4-5 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
