Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide stakeholders with a clear understanding of the company's financial performance.
  • Maintain the general ledger through monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, set up new accounts, initiate payments, and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and maintain daily cash activity for all bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Issue customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable aging to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt.
  • Perform payroll functions, including processing payroll, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in physical inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize losses.
  • Maintain the fixed assets ledger and depreciation calculations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, gathering necessary account information and documents to fulfill audit requests.

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 4+ years of related accounting experience is required.
  • Associates degree and 10+ years of relevant experience can be considered.
