Role Overview:

  2. Perform various tasks including cashiering, merchandise placement, receiving inventory, processing shipments, and maintaining store cleanliness.
  3. Collaborate with the management team to meet sales and productivity targets.
  4. Assist in ensuring store equipment is in good working condition.
  5. Work with management to create and implement strategies to boost store traffic.
  6. Maintain proper merchandising and upkeep of promotional displays.
  7. Ensure every customer receives exemplary service, adhering to company standards.
  8. Greet customers warmly upon their arrival.
  9. Handle phone inquiries professionally.
  10. Stay informed about current promotions and advertisements.
  11. Accurately process transactions and manage cash at the register.
  12. Keep the register area organized and well-stocked.
  13. Encourage customers to enroll in our rewards program.
  14. Issue receipts, refunds, and credits as necessary.
  15. Participate in mandatory team meetings.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

No formal education or prior experience is required; however, experience in a retail setting is advantageous.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Mathematical Skills:

Competence in basic math and the ability to calculate figures and amounts.

Reasoning Skills:

Aptitude for solving practical problems and handling various situations with limited standardization.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with retail computer systems and electronic cash registers is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The position requires the ability to lift 7 to 10 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending and reaching.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with flexible hours required to meet the demands of the retail industry.
