Job Summary: Novel Microdevices is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to manufacture components of a new medical device. The selected candidate will produce, clean, and assemble plastic components under direct supervision, following assembly SOPs and performing other laboratory activities and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, clean, and assemble plastic components according to assembly SOPs.
  • Perform laboratory activities and maintenance as required.
  • Work in a clean room environment, adhering to strict standards and practices.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality conformance.
  • Perform in-process inspection of components and assemblies.
  • Use tools such as microscopes, tweezers, and other hand-held tools.
  • Recognize and report any minor issues with equipment and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Experience in clean room assembly or manufacturing in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
  • Strong working skills with hands.
  • Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to solve basic math problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a clean and regulated setting related to medical device assembly.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for several hours.
  • Ability to work directly with chemicals or reagents.
