Job Title: Medical Assistant Apprentice

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant Apprentice. As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing community health organization, providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant Apprentice will work under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional to provide administrative and clinical support to our patients. This includes taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures. The Medical Assistant Apprentice will also have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, including electronic health records, medical terminology, and patient communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments and preparing patient charts.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to develop new skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
