About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Patient Care
    • Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
    • Turn and reposition patients as needed to prevent skin breakdown and promote comfort.
    • Assist with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated.
  • Support Nursing Staff
    • Assist with admission of patients to the unit by preparing the room and orienting the patient and/or family to the unit.
    • Take and record vital signs accurately and with repeating questionable values.
    • Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding and providing snacks and supplements.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment
    • Collect and dispose of soiled linens and maintain a clean and organized environment.
    • Deliver specimens to the laboratory as requested.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing
    • Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by the RN.
    • Report lab values to the RN.

Requirements

  • Completion of a nursing assistant program preferred.
  • No previous experience required.

Work Environment

This is a non-management job that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Work Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday.
