Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist II to join our team at Mercy. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine histological procedures, maintaining department inventory, and adhering to patient identification, Lab safety, and other Mercy Lab and department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs computer functions, processes patient specimens, and operates and maintains equipment.
  • Maintains department inventory and performs record-keeping tasks and QI functions.
  • Develops standard operating procedures in department.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years in a histology lab and HT (ASCP) certification.
  • Bachelors degree and HTL(ASCP) certification for Histotechnologist role.
