Compensation: $55/hr - $60/hr W2 (negotiable)
Includes coverage for License and DEA fees, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), one week of Paid Time Off (PTO), six National Holidays, and a productivity bonus.
Work Schedule: Weekdays only - no weekends.
Role Overview:
- The Nurse Practitioner assesses, plans, and delivers patient care in collaboration with and under the direct supervision of the attending Physician.
- Clinical procedures are performed by the Nurse Practitioner under the guidance of the attending Physician and in accordance with established protocols.
- Orders for tests and patient care are initiated and modified by the Nurse Practitioner based on patient conditions and Physician approval.
- The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for establishing and maintaining an active practice within healthcare facilities.
- Medical history and relevant data are compiled by the Nurse Practitioner from patients and their families, ensuring accurate updates to medical records.
- Evaluation of patient conditions and medical requirements is conducted by the Nurse Practitioner, who develops care plans for Physician approval.
- Advanced clinical procedures in emergency scenarios are performed by the Nurse Practitioner.
- Routine laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic tests are ordered by the Nurse Practitioner based on verbal orders from the attending Physician and written protocols.
- Changes to patient care orders are initiated by the Nurse Practitioner in response to alterations in patient conditions, following Physician directives.
- The Nurse Practitioner assists the Physician during hospital rounds and prepares progress notes for patient medical records.
- Participation in Continuing Medical Education Programs is expected, along with providing educational sessions for nursing staff and other personnel.
- The ideal candidate for the Nurse Practitioner role demonstrates effective communication with patients, staff, and physicians, delivers patient care competently and courteously, and stays informed about current research to integrate relevant findings into clinical practice.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire or transfer.
