Job Summary:

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans on patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

⁠ ⁠Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
⁠ ⁠Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional information about patient medical history as necessary.
⁠ ⁠Analyze anatomical structures of patients, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
⁠ ⁠Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
⁠ ⁠Administer intravenous contrast media, including utilization of power injectors.
⁠ ⁠Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies.
⁠ ⁠Perform all imaging procedures, demonstrating principles of radiation protection, including shielding of patients, selection of appropriate equipment settings to reduce dose, and using other ALARA techniques.
⁠ ⁠Resolve any image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
⁠ ⁠Complete all study indexing, including study begin, study end, and completion of the study in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
⁠ ⁠Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologists before performing studies, demonstrating team member standards of excellence, including AIDET, open communication, responding in a timely manner, displaying a positive attitude, fostering innovation, and respecting diversity.
⁠ ⁠Perform all documentation in the medical record and within the RIS to support clinical and billing functions.

Requirements:

⁠ ⁠High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
⁠ ⁠Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry eligible. If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire. Failure to obtain registry within the designated time-frame will result in termination of the Rad Tech- CT position.
⁠ ⁠Must maintain required hours of continued education.
⁠ ⁠Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
