Position Overview:
As a Cloud Security Operations Specialist, you will leverage your technical skills to support the AF Intelligence Community in safeguarding and overseeing cloud infrastructures while effectively managing incidents. Your role will involve daily contributions within a security operations center, where your expertise in cloud security will be essential.
In this capacity, you will evaluate and implement tools and methodologies for monitoring and addressing threats and vulnerabilities in cloud environments. Your insights will be based on thorough research and a solid understanding of various resources, including on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid systems. You will utilize your knowledge of the DoD risk management framework (RMF) to enhance audit log monitoring and incident response capabilities. Your technical acumen will be crucial as you collaborate with both customer-facing and internal teams to ensure compliance with information assurance and security standards. This role offers a chance to engage with cutting-edge cloud technologies while contributing to the security of mission-critical environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud technologies
- Proficiency in Elastic integration
- Experience in signature creation, particularly with Elastic
- Familiarity with CloudTrail Logging, Encryption, and secure configurations
- Knowledge of AWS security protocols
- Experience with Linux and Bash scripting
- Proficient in using GitLab
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance
- High School diploma or GED
- DoD 8570 Incident Responder Certification, such as CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CHFI, CySA+, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER, or PenTest+
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GEOAxIS
- Familiarity with Terraform
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field preferred; Master's degree is a plus
- IAT Level III Security certification
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

The compensation for this position is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected salary range for this role is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 annually.
Work Environment:
Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If onsite, you will engage with colleagues and clients in person as required.
