Position Overview

Position: MRI Technologist in the Emergency Department

Work Schedule: 4pm - 12:30am

Compensation: $47 - $54 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts outpatient Pediatric Anesthesia MRIs, inpatient Adult MRIs, inpatient Pediatric MRIs, and Emergency Department MRIs.
  • Performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of various organs, organ systems, and blood flow assessments.
  • Supplies radiologists with essential images to facilitate accurate diagnostic conclusions, ensuring comprehensive reports for referring physicians.
  • Educates physicians, residents, staff, and student technologists on the objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging, including safety protocols.
  • Assists nursing personnel by witnessing the disposal of medications and documenting in the appropriate systems.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an AMA accredited program in Radiologic Technology or an equivalent qualification, typically obtained through a two-year college or technical institution.
  • Current ARRT certification is mandatory.
  • BLS CPR certification is required.
  • Experience in an MRI training program with a clinical internship or a minimum of one year of MRI experience is essential.
