Job Title: School Counselor

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field.
  • Valid Virginia Certification with an endorsement of Secondary School Counselor or active certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Secondary School Counselor (preferred).
  • Teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred).

Work Environment:

The School Counselor will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with students, parents, and school personnel to provide a comprehensive support system.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary will be determined by the School Board, and the position offers a competitive benefits package.

Evaluation:

The performance of the School Counselor will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Prince Edward County School Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
