The Shift Leader position is an entry-level developmental role designed to train employees to become Assistant Managers. As a Shift Leader, you will assist the location Manager and Assistant Manager in store operations and help develop new employees.
Key Responsibilities- Offer exceptional customer service and greet customers with a smile and hello.
- Suggest merchandise purchases to customers and learn to operate the cash register and additional required equipment with accuracy.
- Price, stock, and face merchandise, including gondolas, shelving, counters, walk-in coolers, upright coolers, and backroom storage areas.
- Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid damage or spoilage.
- Maintain the store in accordance with maintenance policies and conform to Health Department rules and regulations.
- Account for all shift and daily transactions and present a neat and clean appearance.
- Learn and complete store required paperwork and perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
- Valid Driver's License
- Dependable, independent transportation
- A working phone number for Store Management and Staff contact
- Ability to multi-task, organizational, and communication skills
This role is based in a typical retail convenience store setting, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods.
