Bilingual Shop Supervisor Role

We are a leading player in the manufacturing industry, seeking a Permanent Bilingual Shop Supervisor to join our team. As a Bilingual Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the shop floor while ensuring all activities align with our company's policies and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.
  • Reviewing work orders, product specifications, and other materials to plan and schedule production activities.
  • Inspecting materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Directing and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Enforcing safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Communicating effectively with both English and non-English speaking employees to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of production procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex instructions to a diverse team.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
