Position Overview

The Auditor II at Hufford Services Group plays a crucial role in executing designated audit functions.

This position requires a strong capability in recognizing and evaluating process risks, mapping out business operations along with the associated applications, and assessing the design and operational effectiveness of controls. The auditor will also be responsible for executing and documenting audit procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with business leaders throughout the audit process.
  • Independently carry out assigned audit and advisory tasks.
  • Apply analytical and technical expertise to advise management on emerging control practices.
  • Support audit fieldwork, including control tests and detailed substantive tests.
  • Examine business processes and internal control documentation, and compile a written summary of audit findings for review with Audit Management.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects to assist in evaluating the company's risk and control landscape.
  • Design, implement, and document audit tests in alignment with Audit Services protocols.
  • Operate within established plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Identify underlying issues and offer actionable recommendations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior auditors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial services or auditing.
  • Preferred certifications include CIA, CPA, CISA, or CAMS.
  • Strong project management and analytical capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Understanding of risk and control principles.
  • Well-honed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ACL or other Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
