Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deli/Bakery Manager to join our team at IGA Southeast. As a Deli/Bakery Manager, you will be responsible for leading the deli/bakery department to achieve sales, shrink, and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure guests receive excellent service from deli/bakery department hosts.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli/bakery department.
  • Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
  • Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
  • Ensure the quality of product for sale meets company standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to company standards.
  • Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
  • Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
  • Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
  • Perform PA announcements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of deli operations.
  • Ability to supervise hosts, including training and development.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
  • Ability to work well with computers.
