About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for formulating and overseeing the organization's planning, policies, and practices in collaboration with executive leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the health ministry's mission, strategic directives, and goals.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operating budgets for areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommends cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  • Develop and implement a program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare.
  • Serve as liaison between Board of Directors, executive leadership, management, stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Nurse Executive credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
  • Work Experience: 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
