We operate as a compact, mission-oriented team.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Principal Software Engineer, your contributions will be pivotal to the functionality of World App. This role is among the elite 2% of Engineers at Worldcoin.
- Direct all architectural elements of the World App backend while enhancing the developer experience.
- Develop and deliver essential products across various World App product teams, actively contributing code to the application.
- Serve as a strategic leader within the engineering division, promoting best practices and fostering a premier team culture.
- Engage with cross-functional partners throughout the organization, including Marketing, Operations, Risk, Data Science, and other Engineering divisions.
- Proven software engineering leader with extensive experience in constructing backend systems for high-traffic consumer mobile applications.
- Self-motivated with the capability to establish strategic direction in uncertain environments.
- Exceptional communicator with the skill to influence a wide array of technical and business decisions.
- Decisive leader with a strong inclination towards action, ready to take calculated risks when necessary.
- Preferred experience with Typescript and/or Rust.
- Preferred familiarity with the AWS ecosystem.
- Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about programmable blockchains and their significance in the future of finance, privacy, and digital identity.

Compensation Transparency:
The estimated salary range for this position at Worldcoin is $261,000 - $300,000, accompanied by a competitive long-term incentive package. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
