Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at Emory University. As a key member of our research group, you will have the opportunity to design and conduct innovative studies, develop new ideas, and prepare and publish scientific manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research within a specified field, receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator.
  • Develop and evaluate experiments, and prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
  • May be responsible for operating specific equipment and teaching techniques to others, training, and supervising research staff.
  • Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee, with an initial appointment of one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available.
Requirements
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS, etc.) in an appropriate field.
  • Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
  • Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A PhD in at least one of the following fields: biomedical engineering, biomedical informatics, health sciences (nursing, cardiology, health service research, neurology), applied statistics/math, electrical/computer engineering, and computer/data sciences.
