Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients, developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Provide medical consultation, including therapeutic procedures delegated by supervising physicians
- Manage patients in various settings, including offices, hospitals, and emergency departments
- Follow standardized procedures, protocols, and policies regulated by the State of California Physician Assistant Practice Act
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- PA-Physician Assistant licensure
- CSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) (not required for SHSO-Admin (Employee Health))
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- Other certifications based on department requirements
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient care guidelines/policy
- Medical knowledge and skills applicable to perform within the scope of practice
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Working knowledge of electronic health records such as EPIC
- Critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
