Role: Bus Aide

Core Responsibilities:

As a Bus Aide, your primary duties will encompass the following:

  • Upholding school policies and procedures diligently.
  • Ensuring order and discipline among passengers; addressing conflicts and documenting significant disciplinary incidents.
  • Monitoring students with specific health needs during transportation, following provided instructions closely.
  • Enforcing safety regulations on school grounds and during bus rides.
  • Maintaining awareness of all emergency protocols.
  • Facilitating open communication with all staff members.
  • Implementing site-specific bus rules and regulations effectively.
  • Supervising students during their commute to and from school.
  • Reporting any hazardous conditions related to the bus to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • Keeping the bus environment clean and free of debris.
  • Representing the school positively and professionally.
  • Assuming additional responsibilities as directed by school leadership.

Objective: To ensure a safe, clean, and supervised environment for students while they are on the school bus and during other assigned duties. This role is integral to supporting the mission and vision of Choice Schools.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Proven ability to fulfill assigned responsibilities competently.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with school personnel and students in a diverse educational setting.
