The Linen Services Specialist is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean linens within the hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of linen processing, which includes collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of laundry equipment.
- Execute washing and drying of soiled linens, towels, and rags as per management directives.
- Sort and remove dirty linens and towels from designated areas.
- Fold and organize linens/towels, ensuring linen carts are stocked appropriately.
- Understand and operate washing machines and dryers efficiently.
- Perform daily maintenance on dryer filters and all laundry equipment as instructed.
- Adhere to safe work practices to ensure the safety of guests and fellow team members.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry floors and ensure linens are stored properly.
- Keep laundry carts tidy and free from debris.
- Familiarize oneself with all company policies and brand standards.
- Restock linen closets throughout the hotel as necessary.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Maintain composure and professionalism under stress.
- Capable of pushing/pulling laundry carts with varying weights.
- Ability to transfer linens from washer to dryer, managing weights between 25-150 lbs.
- Desire to provide excellent service to all guests.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
