Oversee and direct HMSA's IT Risk Management initiative by utilizing established best practices and frameworks within the industry.
Develop strategic roadmaps that align with the Chief Information Security Officer's vision.
Ensure the Risk Register is consistently updated and effectively communicated across relevant stakeholders. Monitor and document Risk Remediation efforts and corrective action plans, prioritizing them as necessary.
Collaborate with various IT departments and the Vendor Management Office (VMO) to identify, document, and track potential risks.
Formulate and revise policies and procedures related to cyber security risk management, drawing from industry best practices and the Enterprise NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Establish, maintain, and implement a comprehensive Cyber Security risk management roadmap.
Conduct thorough Cyber Security Risk Assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
Manage exceptions related to Cyber Risk, encompassing both on-premise and cloud environments.
Support Enterprise IT Audits by collaborating with internal teams and serving as the primary contact for Cyber Security Risk matters.
Effectively engage with HMSA's Cyber Security vendors to ensure alignment with the organization's Cyber Security Risk Management objectives.
Third Party Cyber Security Risk Management:
Develop and uphold policies and procedures for Third Party Risk Management.
Create and maintain a Corrective Action Plan addressing Third Party Cyber Security Risks.
Work collaboratively with other HMSA departments, including VMO, Compliance, IT Security, and Privacy, to track and remediate activities related to the Corrective Action Plan.
Centralize and manage third party risks, including documentation of risk responses from external parties.
Oversee exceptions related to Cyber Risk concerning third parties.
Coordinate with VMO, the Privacy Office, and Legal on the management of Business Associate Agreements.
Lead all corrective action plans associated with Cyber Risk Management.
Cyber Security Training and Awareness:
Develop and maintain policies pertaining to Cyber Security.
Prepare educational content and deliver training sessions focused on Cyber Security awareness.
Conduct phishing simulations and training to address phishing-related risks.
Collaborate with other teams, such as Privacy, on training initiatives.
Personnel Management:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the cybersecurity unit staff in the overall management of the Information Security Program. Offer management support encompassing personnel, budget, and administrative responsibilities, including mentoring, performance management, and career development.
Manage the budget to ensure the cyber security program is executed in a financially responsible manner.
Other Duties/Functions:
Fulfill additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned or directed.
