Adecco is currently partnering with a local client to fill a Bindery Operator position. This role offers a temp to hire opportunity with competitive pay rates ranging from $17/hr to $20/hr, depending on experience.
The Bindery Operator plays a crucial role in managing various bindery machinery efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include operating shipping terminals and ensuring products are packaged and shipped according to the company's quality standards and protocols. The operator will also coordinate their workload to meet customer deadlines while maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- General and Administrative Duties:
- Collaborate with the Production Team to prioritize and adjust job tasks as needed to meet changing deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations set by OSHA and the company.
- Utilize appropriate safety gear when necessary, especially when handling chemicals.
- Support operational activities as required.
- Maintain effective communication with the Owner, Operations Manager, Expediting/Bindery Supervisor, Sales Team, and Production Team to ensure alignment with sales and customer goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the designated work area.
- Follow established procedures as outlined in the company manual.
Bindery Operations:
- Operate bindery machinery as per instructions and established protocols.
- Execute all tasks as specified in work orders and job tickets.
- Package and ship products in accordance with shipping guidelines.
- Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Keep the workspace clean and free from hazards at all times.
- Stay informed about safety requirements related to the job and equipment, including familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with bindery equipment is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to interpret written instructions for machine setup and maintenance.
