Collaborate within a dynamic team dedicated to the design, integration, and evaluation of solutions aimed at advancing technologies and products for the future of military operations.

Conduct research, characterization, and facilitate the scaling of cutting-edge materials, with a focus on high-performance composites and high-temperature materials for defense and aerospace applications. Utilize various testing methodologies for material characterization and process optimization.

Provide strategic insights to leadership regarding emerging technologies and potential market opportunities for implementation and marketing.

Work closely with leadership to ensure that solutions for military personnel are seamlessly integrated, enhancing operational capability, reducing costs and risks, fostering innovation, and maximizing accountability and return on investment.

Engage regularly with internal and external management, as well as senior-level client representatives, concerning project updates, operational decisions, scheduling needs, and contract clarifications.

Guide organizational leadership on the implementation of emerging technologies, ensuring that solutions for military personnel are continuously integrated to enhance mission effectiveness and value for our clients.

Oversee the evaluation of technical specifications related to design objectives of processes or products, assessing the environmental impact of materials processing.


Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in diverse materials science engineering
• At least 2 years of experience supporting Department of Defense programs
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, lean six sigma, or kanban
• Proficient in advanced mathematical concepts
• Capability to deliver solutions for multiple clients and stakeholders concurrently
• Secret clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with advanced materials, including metals, ceramics, composites, and polymers
• Background in coordinating production and material processes for initial low-rate production and manufacturing of material solutions
• Expertise in identifying and recommending materials suitable for extreme conditions and environments
• Experience in the in-product testing process and enhancing overall testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Top Secret clearance
• Master’s degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management

Clearance Requirements:


Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 annually.
