Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care to patients from birth to adolescence with skin conditions ranging from acne and eczema to rare diseases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking medical histories and performing physical exams
  • Diagnosing and treating skin conditions
  • Ordering and interpreting tests
  • Developing treatment plans and prescribing medication in outpatient clinics

The ideal candidate will work independently and as an extender within a team of physicians, fellows, residents, and physician assistants, with no call required and primary hours Monday – Friday.

Rotations through clinics in San Diego, Escondido, Encinitas, Oceanside, and Murrieta are expected, offering opportunities for continuing education through morning conferences and Grand Rounds with the University of California San Diego Dermatology department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Completion of a Physician Assistant Program
  • California Physician Assistant license
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers and DEA license within one year
  • Medicare Billing number and Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission within six months and one year, respectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience
  • Experience in specialty area as a Physician Assistant

Compensation:

Expected hiring range is $67.58 to $92.93, with regular market reviews to remain competitive, considering experience, education, licensure, and internal equity.
