Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Assembler, particularly those transitioning from Aerospace or other technical sectors. This role primarily focuses on Gear Boxes and Naval Ship Components.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing various assembly and testing tasks within the production departments.
  • Disassembling and inspecting gearboxes to ensure quality standards.
  • Assembling and testing gearboxes to meet operational specifications.
  • Performing essential tasks such as deburring, cleaning, and painting components.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement by eliminating waste and reducing cycle times.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering, to promptly address and resolve any assembly or testing challenges.
  • Providing constructive feedback to Engineering regarding discrepancies in assembly/testing, inaccuracies in drawings, and quality concerns to prevent recurrence.
  • Promoting a culture that emphasizes workplace safety, cleanliness, and environmental stewardship.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and a shared sense of purpose.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, particularly with Gear Boxes or similar components.
  • A background in Aerospace or other technical industries is highly desirable.
