About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker to join our National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. As a Relationship Banker, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial goals and objectives.
  • Financial Needs Assessment: Assess customers' financial needs and provide recommendations for products and services that meet those needs.
  • Product and Service Offerings: Identify opportunities to offer a full range of Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products and services to customers.
  • Account Management: Open and service accounts within authorized limits, create plans for follow-up and scheduled contacts with customers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with internal teams, such as financial advisors, to understand customers' investment and retirement needs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, and maintain a strong understanding of risk management principles.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Financial Industry Knowledge: 1+ year of assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution, demonstrated through work or military experience.
  • Relationship Building: 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FINRA Registration: Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6 and Series 63 examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration.
  • State Insurance License: State Insurance license(s) are required for this role and must be completed within a specified period.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge and understanding of book of business processes to actively manage a group of Wells Fargo customers to meet their needs and grow the business.
