About the Role

Snap Inc. is seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our AR platform team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our AR platform products, workflows, and developer frameworks and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build AR platform products, workflows, and developer frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with other engineers and product managers to improve the Camera Kit SDK and Lens Studio workflows
  • Help design and build new interactive frameworks for improving AR products' scale and extensibility
  • Ideate and prototype developer and creator tools to encourage innovation and new use cases for Snap AR technologies
  • Support technical relationships with development teams of our strategic partners and other customers of Snap AR platform products
  • Convert feedback from customers to help design and prioritize the most impactful features

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and QA skills
  • UX design, prototyping, and spec writing experience
  • Ability to communicate and explain complex concepts to our partners and community members
  • C++ proficiency and familiarity with any of Swift, Objective-C, TypeScript, or Kotlin
  • Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals as well as mobile development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a related technical field
  • Image processing, OpenGL, camera pipelines, or interactive AR experience
  • Understanding of product design, release cycles, and maintaining production software
