Street Sweeper Operator

The Street Sweeper Driver is a critical role within Total Civil Construction & Engineering, LLC, responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty sweeper truck to perform assigned duties on cleaning private streets, parking lots, and/or other locations.

• Operate a sweeping vehicle to clean streets and lots of trash, leaves, and other debris.
• Ensure supplies and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating the sweeper.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
• Notify Route Supervisor/Dispatch/Maintenance of any concerns or issues with the vehicle.
• Understand and practice operating best practices to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Supervisor/Dispatch before attempting service.
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetings as required by the Company.
• Work closely with Route Supervisors to improve route efficiencies and identify any on-road issues.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Supervisor or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
• Notify Route Supervisor of any incidents/accidents/injures/property damage.
• Provide a positive professional customer attitude when dealing with customers.
• Complete job tickets with information and leave with customers when required.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned, including training others.

• Valid Class C Driver's License
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
