### Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Naval Piping Designer to join our multidisciplinary Ship Design team at Gibbs & Cox, a subsidiary of Leidos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating detailed distributive piping ship systems designs, diagrams, 3D models, and 2D drawings for ship construction and modification.

### Key Responsibilities

* Prepare accurate and detailed designs, free form surface models, and drawings based on concept sketches, photographs, scans, or clearly stated functional requirements.
* Collaborate with clients, naval architects, and engineers to produce high-quality ship design products and drawings.
* Translate specification requirements and incorporate standards, requirements, design practices, and techniques into detailed ship design, drawings, and other finished design products.
* Utilize PDF editing programs, such as Bluebeam, and proficiency in AUTOCAD 2014 or later, 3D modeling, and ShipConstructor.
* Possess knowledge of standards and regulatory body requirements and demonstrated proficiency in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques.
* Work effectively in a collaborative team environment and possess strong time management, organization, and interpersonal skills.

### Requirements

* U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
* High school degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
* Piping design experience on Naval and/or commercial shipbuilding programs.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
