Naval Architect 2

We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect 2 to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a key member of our Carrier Naval Architecture and Weight group, you will play a critical role in supporting Ford Class aircraft carrier work and IRAD projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine naval architecture work, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to design and analyze ship hull, foundation, superstructure, arrangements, and hull form characteristics.
- Assist in the solution of difficult problems involved in areas of assignment, using prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader systems design, performance analysis, or hull form characteristic assignments.
- Collaborate with experienced naval architects to develop and implement design solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering (with emphasis on ship design) or related field.
- 2 years of relevant exempt experience or Master's Degree with 0 year of relevant professional experience.
