The Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the respiratory care department at Medical City Arlington. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Respiratory Care in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of respiratory therapists, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient treatment and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or State Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation certification
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 months of employment start date
