Job Summary

As a Business Architect at Selective Insurance Group, you will play a critical role in enhancing the alignment of strategy to technology execution. Your primary responsibility will be to translate long-term business strategies into assessments of capabilities that support the future state architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to establish a future state model of technology, process, information, and skill capabilities that align with business strategies.
  • Recommend changes to plans or investments, focusing on growth, profitability, customer experience, and risk.
  • Evaluate gaps in business capabilities that impact the achievement of a future state and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Establish multi-year roadmaps that achieve the future state, align supporting teams, and guide investments.
  • Support the estimation of work and development of business cases to execute on recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Five or more years of business experience with a direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or translation, business analysis/analytics, business architecture, and/or program management.
  • Three or more years of experience working with technology solutions, including IT project, products, services, and capabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of different types of business and operating models in P&C Insurance.
