Position Overview

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the upkeep and mowing of the City of Corpus Christi's developed recreational areas, facilities, thoroughfares, and coastal regions.

Key Responsibilities

· Duties will encompass litter and debris removal, surface painting, planting, trimming, graffiti eradication, maintenance of public restrooms, and preparation for special events.

· Operation of outdoor power machinery and hand tools is required.

· Assist with repairs to irrigation systems, upkeep of water features, and maintenance of playground apparatus.

· The role necessitates the operation of pickup trucks with trailers, motor vehicles, and utility vehicles.

· Daily work reports must be completed to verify time, equipment, and material usage.

· Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications

· A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

· A minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant work experience is preferred.

· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to transport and deliver work materials is essential.

· Must be capable of walking for extended periods and distances.

· Ability to work safely outdoors in varying seasons and weather conditions is required.

· Must be comfortable working around various plant materials, including trees, shrubs, and grass.

· Physical capabilities to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb to perform diverse maintenance tasks are necessary.

Certifications and Licenses

· A valid driver's license is essential.

· A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.

· Candidates from out of state must obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of employment.
