Job Overview

We are in search of a skilled Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing processes at a major facility. This role is crucial for overseeing the daily functions of our ground beef production units, ensuring that production targets are consistently met while optimizing the use of resources and capacity within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the profitability of the ground beef segment across all production operations.
  • Supervise and direct quality assurance measures across multiple facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement effective quality management systems and conduct regular audits to uphold food safety protocols.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions focused on quality control and food safety practices.
  • Oversee the installation and testing procedures for ground beef products.
  • Address customer feedback regarding quality concerns and implement corrective measures.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to foster innovation and improve team productivity.
  • Develop and manage budgets to align with operational goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with scheduling and sales teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate the activities of staff involved in beef product operations.
  • Analyze production data and reports to assess operational efficiency and output.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to synchronize operations and workflows.
  • Establish work schedules and production timelines to achieve operational objectives.
  • Inspect equipment and materials to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Provide training on equipment operation and safety procedures to new hires.
  • Work with management to address employee concerns and grievances.
  • Interpret operational guidelines and company policies for team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in food production or related fields.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the meat processing industry with effective communication skills in English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operational processes.
  • Strong conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Management experience within the meat packing sector.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Dependable and willing to work flexible hours as needed.
  • This position may require travel to various facilities as necessary.
  • Must be able to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
