Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. As a member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to adult to mature adult patients with major medical, cardiac, and surgical diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on post-discharge care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration for military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
