Responsibilities of the Pediatric Speech Therapist include:

  • Delivering professional and skilled treatment to a diverse range of clients, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Actively engaging in the advancement and development of the Department/Clinic, including quality management initiatives.
  • Focusing on high-quality patient care, driven by outcomes, best practices, and mentorship. All appointments are conducted on a one-on-one basis for 45 minutes.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Possession of a valid license as a PT/OT/CF-SLP, with a preference for candidates with at least one year of experience.
  • Licensure in the state of employment is required for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Outpatient Speech Therapists, with eligibility for licensure in an alternate state (license to be obtained within three months of hire).
  • Certification in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR, renewed biennially.
  • For those working in the Outpatient Department, a commitment to work a minimum of two evenings per week is necessary unless otherwise approved by regional outpatient directors.
