Speech-Language Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at SpeechGuru. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating students' speech and language abilities, diagnosing communication disorders, and developing individualized plans of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate students' speech and language abilities and diagnose communication disorders using standardized tests and observational checklists.
- Develop individualized plans of care for students, setting specific goals and determining appropriate therapy strategies.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students based on IEP or 504 plan recommendations.
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school staff to support students and implement classroom-based strategies.
- Provide advice to classroom teachers on classroom accommodations and lesson adaptations.
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of students' diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' speech and language capabilities, challenges, and progress.
- Stay updated with the latest research, strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license or certification to practice as an SLP in schools.
- ASHA Certification preferred.
- Experience working with school-age children with various communication disorders.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to speech and language services in schools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using technology.
- Job Type: Part-time, Contract.
- Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour.
- Expected hours: 21 per week.
- Ability to Relocate: Tewksbury, MA (Required).
