We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead our large-scale electrical projects from conception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical construction, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, providing guidance and direction to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to define project requirements and objectives.
- Procurement and Budgeting: Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the duration of the project.
- Subcontract Management: Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts.
- Training and Development: Supervise/mentor the work of other project managers and assistant project managers.
- Construction Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of construction with on-site project superintendents.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 consecutive years of experience in commercial electrical project management.
- Track Record: Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial electrical projects from conception to completion.
- Leadership and Decision-Making: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving project goals and objectives.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, project teams, and vendors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Excel, Accubid estimating software, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus.
- Negotiation and Change Order Management: Outstanding negotiation and change order management skills.
- Management Techniques: Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee and project performance.
- Safety and OSHA Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
