Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our team at AdvisaCare, a leading provider of personalized home care services.

This Part-Time position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with special needs and their families.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, as well as knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one behavior therapy services to individuals with special needs, including children and adults. They will implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), document client progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one behavior therapy services to individuals with special needs.
  • Implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies developed by a BCBA.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with assessment and observation of client behavior, identifying areas of concern and recommending appropriate interventions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
