Position Overview:
The Accountant will engage in a range of professional accounting tasks, including but not limited to payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor account management, and timely responses to inquiries.
2. Manage Payroll operations, maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
3. Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoice preparation, payment application, and account maintenance.
4. Prepare schedules for grants and donor-related activities, as well as assist with fixed asset inventory and recordkeeping.
5. Analyze workflow processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency.
6. Conduct account maintenance, prepare reconciliations, and generate internal reports as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of two years of professional accounting experience is essential, particularly in accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary, with skills in pivot tables and V-lookups being advantageous.
- Experience in payroll processing and grants management is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, financial administration, and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to examine and verify financial documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.

Physical Requirements:
This position may require extended periods of sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
